Each year, the NAMI California Board and Staff examine important trends, exciting best practices and new treatments as well as other activities in Mental Illness, and feedback gathered from previous conferences. The 2017 NAMI California Conference introduces tracks that represent key topic areas and critical information:

Criminal Justice:
Strategies to partner with law enforcement, the justice system, and other criminal justice sectors.
Strengthening NAMI:
For affiliate leaders, affiliate staff and key volunteers to learn how to grow their NAMI in order to better serve their communities.
Family & Consumer:
How to strengthen our voice as a unified organization of lived experiences, increase visibility and impact, and promote mental health wellness and recovery.
Advocacy:
Topics related to mental health advocacy at the local, state and federal level and how these levels interact to keep NAMI’s voice strong.
Young Adults:
Best practices for educators, early identification and intervention, youth advocacy, and reducing stigma and discrimination for ages 18-24.

*Each track features workshops and information related to the subject area listed. Tracks run concurrently, and will be available as audio recordings after the conclusion of the conference.
