The role of family member support in the treatment of mental health conditions can significantly improve outcomes for both the individual and family member. While family involvement is strongly recommended in clinical guidelines, it suffers from poor implementation. NAMI CA is reaching out to hear the perspectives of family members and/or caregivers supporting their loved ones with lived experience in mental illness.
Our goal is to understand the barriers experienced, the sustainable programs and services utilized, and the support that family members need while navigating the mental health care system for themselves and their loved ones.
Your anonymous responses will be incorporated into the NAMI CA Annual State of the Community Report on Families created to reach and improve the experiences of all family members, caregivers, or loved ones within the mental health care system in California.
To participate you must identify as a family member and/or caregiver of someone living with a mental health condition/s. We are collecting confidential responses for a detailed report of the unique perspectives and needs of the family member or loved one of individuals living with mental health conditions.
