Making new year’s resolutions?
Efforts we make to be our best selves are always to be encouraged — any day of the year. But we know from experience that broken resolutions can make us feel discouraged.

Here are a few things to consider:
Focus on the positive, with realistic resolutions aimed to bolster your own personal strengths.
Count on the support of family members and friends.
Be specific and make plans to achieve your goals.
Accept that there will be bad days, but know that every day is a new opportunity to make positive changes in your life.
Remember that making hard and fast resolutions is optional.
Be kind to yourself. All progress is good progress.
