NAMI CA 2024-2028 Strategic Plan

  • Be the leading voice for a full continuum of mental health care for individuals to increase access, quality and improved services.
  • Expand the family voice in leading conversations on mental health issues through advocacy, legislation and policy development in California.
  • Break down barriers to mental health and behavioral health stigma and discrimination.
  • Support the implementation of the behavioral health vision of programs such as CalAIM, Child and Youth Behavior Health Initiative, CARE Court and Proposition 1.
  • Build partnerships and support for local implementation of California mental health and behavioral health laws.
  • Advocate and lead discussions on the development of workable solutions to address mental health issues in early intervention, health care, criminal justice diversion and homelessness.
  • Enhance NAMI California’s organizational capacity to ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Increase the number of families, caregivers and youth servicing professionals engaged through NAMI signature education programs.
