NAMI Family-to-Family

is a free, 8-session educational program for families, significant others, and friends of people with mental health conditions. Designated as an evidence-based program by SAMHSA, it facilitates a better understanding of mental health conditions, increases coping skills, and empowers participants to become advocates for their family members. Also available in Spanish, De Familia a Familia de NAMI.   

is a free, 8-session educational program designed for adults dealing with mental health conditions, aiming to enhance their self-awareness and support their journey towards recovery. The course is designed to encourage growth, healing, and recovery among participants. This program is also available in Spanish, De Persona a Persona de NAMI.

is a support group for people with mental health conditions. Groups meet weekly, every other week, or monthly, depending on the location. You’ll gather valuable perspective by listening to the experiences of fellow participants, and the groups are facilitated by skilled leaders who have walked a similar path. This program is also available in Spanish, NAMI Conexión.

is a support group for family members, significant others, and friends of people with mental health conditions. Participants will obtain valuable understanding by learning from the obstacles and achievements of those who have encountered similar situations. Groups meet weekly, every other week, or monthly, depending on location. This program is also available in Spanish, NAMI Grupo de Apoyo para Familiares

is a 6-session educational program for families, caregivers, friends, and other loved ones of military service members and veterans with mental health conditions. It is modeled after the NAMI Family to Family course but is designed to address the unique needs and culture of this group of individuals.   

is a three-part video series that explores the journey of mental wellness in Black communities through dialogue, storytelling, and a guided discussion. Sharing Hope is to bring awareness that there is a lack of information surrounding mental health issues that can prevent people in Black communities from getting the help and support they need. Compartiendo Esperanza is the same structure but serves the Latinx/Hispanic community.  

is offered as a 15-hour comprehensive option over five sessions or a condensed four-hour seminar, strategically designed to cover substantial content. Geared towards healthcare providers, administrative staff, operational personnel, and engaged students, it offers valuable insights into mental illness through individual and family perspectives. The program aims to lessen stigma among providers, fostering empathy and understanding to enhance their effectiveness in working with individuals and families.

A six-module program equips individuals with tools to communicate their stories to decision-makers effectively. It provides practical advocacy training, enabling those affected by mental illness, along with friends and family, to convert their passion and personal experiences into impactful grassroots advocacy. The program offers a choice of three workshops or modules, each lasting 1 to 2 hours, or a comprehensive single-day training. Participants will acquire essential skills, including crafting a compelling 90-second story and request, writing impactful emails, delivering elevator speeches, and making effective phone calls. The training also includes strategies for conducting productive meetings with elected officials.  

equips individuals and family members to share personal experiences of living with mental illness before law enforcement audiences, like CIT training or mental health-related events. SYSLE Presenters offer officers insights from personal crisis experiences and subsequent positive journeys through mental health challenges. These impactful narratives enhance officers’ understanding, empathy, and crisis management within communities. 

is a 6-session education program for parents, caregivers and other family who provide care for youth (ages 22 and younger) who are experiencing mental health symptoms. This program is free to participants, 99% of whom say they would recommend the program to others. NAMI Basics is available both in person and online through NAMI Basics OnDemand.
